CLD.B Diffusion Collection
CLD - Charu Lochan Dass is reaching new grounds and taking their fashion to wider markets with the introduction of a new line, CLD.B. This is a diffusion Ready-to-Wear line that's sexy, playful and affordable while still maintaining the classic CLD aesthetic of being chic and timeless.
Effortless style, attention to detail CLD’s new collection, named after her
mother is a true synergy on Indian-Trini style and culture. The pieces reflects Charu’s recent visit to India and Dubai where she fell in love with the fabrics, they also reminded her of the transition her mother made from traditional Indian wear, when they just moved to Trinidad, to that of a Caribbean/Trinidadian feel.
The collection is not for any specific time of year, it goes along the grain of what CLD is known for, timeless and classic. Simple and feminine silhouettes with just the right amount of colour for the sophisticated woman. “It blends and merges cultures, customs and fashion – East meets West Indian.” The use of colour shows the amalgamation of the cultures with great blends of Caribbean hues and traditional Indian hues of reds, yellows and greens. Silks are the main fabrics used adding to its versatility and romance, elevating the local aesthetic while having a global appeal.

Charu Lochan Dass is collaborating with retail powerhouse Koral Boutique to present a special resort collection just in time for summer! For the boutique’s grand opening, CLD has included one of kind kaftans, jumpers, rompers in rich hues of Caribbean blues along with staple black and white pieces now available at the West Mall boutique.

CLD at Fashion Focus
Convention 2017
CLD is once again participating in Fashion Focus. Fashion Focus is a platform developed to promote the work of both established and emerging fashion designers to local, regional and international audiences.
The Convention is a one (1) day business trade expo for operators in the local industry. It is a networking event that puts fashion designers in contact with buyers, buyers with designers, designers with boutiques, creatives, educators, financiers, consultants, sponsors and other business stakeholders.
Come to see fashion showcases, live art, spoken word poets, dance performances and musicians of all genres. Complimentary wine, selected giveaways and chances to win exquisite works of art and local designer outfits!
